Pies, Pies, Pies - The Secret is in the Crust!


       

Whoever said, "as easy as pie" has obviously never made a great pie!  Great pies take skill and knowledge!  I will teach you the secret techniques and ingredients in making a tender, flaky and flavorful traditional pie dough.  You'll use this dough to make an exceptional apple pie using a variety of pie apples.  You'll also learn how to make a flaky cream cheese pie crust for a beautiful Pear Galette with a translucent apricot glaze.  Galettes are simple, elegant and make a spectacular centerpiece.  LET'S BAKE PIE for our Valentine!  A $20 materials fee is payable to instructor at class.
