As summer progresses, so do the wildflowers. August brings sunflowers and other late-season beauties. Take an easy hike on open space trails to practice your identification skills and learn new ones. You will find out about flower families and how these plants are named. The hike will be approximately 3 miles with an elevation gain of 400 feet and will start from the Chautauqua Dining Hall. Wear sturdy tennis shoes or boots and bring water and rain gear. No pets, please. Please fill out an adult waiver prior to the hike. The waiver can be found on our website.
