ClassGraphic OOPS!! You've noticed the numerous misspellings, typos (including the one to the left), and errors in punctuation and grammar in newspapers, books, magazines, advertisements, resumes, legal documents, business correspondence, and online media. You also know that spell-checking programs don't catch all the errors. If you have a passion for correctness and are an astute and careful reader, consider a career as a proofreader. In this entertaining and informative two-session class, you will be introduced to professional proofreading marks, become familiar with resources that proofreaders use, test your skills on a challenging exercise, and learn about opportunities for employment or a freelance career as a proofreader. A $3 materials fee is payable to the instructor at the first class.
