Discover how the histories of Chautauqua and Open Space Mountain Parks (OSMP) are woven together. We will stop along the way to view historic Chautauqua and OSMP structures and observe where Lyons sandstone was quarried for some of the buildings in Boulder. We'll discuss the amazing flora, fauna and geology of the area. Parts of trail can be rocky. Please wear sturdy shoes or hiking boots and bring water. The hike is about 3 miles round trip with an elevation gain of around 700 feet. Meet at the Chautauqua Dining Hall. No pets, please. Please fill out an adult waiver prior to the hike at bvsd.org/lll. Rain date: Mar 25.
