ClassGraphic Delve into the basics of sewing through a series of projects that will help you understand fabric and design, sewing tools and mechanics of the machine. Learn how to measure the body, draft a pattern, understand a commercial pattern and mark sewing projects. Increasingly challenging projects include: the envelope pillow, French seamed pillowcases, elastic waistband skirt, lined tote bag, reversible apron and pajama pants. Bring basic materials and machine to first class. Sewing machines are available for use. Instructor will give specific project materials list at class.

Please read:  A machine will be provided if you don't have your own. Basic materials to bring to the first class: scissors, 24 x 4 in acrylic ruler, rotary cutter, rotary mat board, marking pen and quilter's pins.
