Gain the confidence you need to walk safely alone or with others on nearby trails. Take an informational hike on Open Space Mountain Parks lands to learn what to expect while on these trails. Discover facts about bears, mountain lions, snakes and lightning as well as how to react in potentially hazardous situations while hiking. Topics will include what to carry in your pack to be comfortable hiking no matter the season. Starting at the Chautauqua Dining Hall, this hike will be 2 -3 miles in length. Wear sturdy shoes and bring water. No pets, please.
