Grandparents of Special Needs Children- Part 1


This workshop explores the impact of a child with emotional, neurological, cognitive and/or physical challenges from the grandparents' point of view. A child's special needs affects the experiences and relationships of the entire extended family. We will discuss your own needs and how to address them, and learntechniques to better understand difficult situations, set reasonable expectations, and support the child and his/her parents. You'll walk away inspired by new ideas and will take away action steps to help you create more harmonious andfulfilling family relationships. Please bring a notebook or journal to class. This course is applicable to extended family members as well.
