The focus of this class is the acquisition of basic Spanish language structures and vocabulary through kinesthetic strategies that reflect first - language acquisition, which makes retention more intuitive and allows students to connect Spanish directly to the spatial/social world instead of to the English translation. Educators will be able to apply these basics to on-the-job communications with students, parents and co-workers. Necessary materials will be available electronically. To earn credit, the educator needs to complete 15 of the 18 scheduled hours of class time and 15 hours of documented related assignments outside of class. PLEASE NOTE due to Halloween falling on a Tues., first class will be held on Nov. 1st.
