History Hike: Cabins, Cottages and Quarries

ClassGraphic Discover how the histories of Chautauqua and Open Space Mountain Parks (OSMP) are woven together.  We will stop along the way to view historic Chautauqua and OSMP structures and see where Lyons sandstone was quarried for some of the buildings in Boulder.  There will also be discussions about the amazing flora, fauna and geology of the area. Starting at the Chautauqua Dining Hall, this hike will be 2 -3 miles in length. Wear sturdy shoes and bring water. No pets, please. Complete the adult waiver prior to class at bvsd.org/lll.  Rain date: Sept 24.
