The Mountain Lions Cross Country Fall running program, provides a fun and encouraging environment for Elementary school aged children to learn the basics of Cross Country running over a 6-week period. They will learn good running form, improve both strength and endurance, while in an environment focused on the enjoyment of running. The fun and informative environment will include: form drills, warm-ups, stretching techniques, conditioning exercises, distance training, cool-downs and running games. Each participant will receive a technical shirt.
Mountain Lions is a proud partner of Lifelong Learning, and all of our running programs are held at Elementary schools within the Boulder Valley School District (BVSD). Practices are held twice a week after school, with one “introductory to XC racing" on Saturday, October 13th at Nevin Platt Middle School included in the program. At the end of the 6-week program, all participants have the option to compete in the inaugural "Colleen De Reuck Cross Country Classic" to be held on Saturday, November 3rd.
