Join us in this fun adventure on and around the playgrounds while exploring various science topics from physics (forces, motion) to biology (microbes, macro-ogranisms). We will spend significant time on the playgrounds to explore this new perspective. Along the way, we will learn some basic French words and taste a new food item every week!   Week 1  Bugs living in the playground -microbial activity Week 2 Falling objects: speed and behavior, air resistance Week 3 Swings as pendulums Week 4 Balancing on the slackline Week 5 Bugs living in the playground -macro organisms Week 6 Temperatures of ground surfaces (grass, wood, concrete) over time & graph Week 7 Weighs across monkey bars & pulleys Week 8 Draw your ideal playground

Join us as we explore physics, chemistry, meteorology, zoology and more! We’ll build super structures, work in the lab, and investigate the fascinating way animals disguise themselves. Conduct hands-on experiments to discover how and why weather occurs! Try your hand at engineering and architecture as we build bridges, towers and other structures! We’ll teach you how to properly use laboratory equipment to measure and mix chemicals, and you’ll learn to spot the difference between a chemical and physical change. This engaging enrichment program from Mad Science will give you an inside look at a variety of scientific disciplines, so get ready to Mix It Up! A $27 materials fee is payable to the instructor the first day of class.
