Does your student learn better in a small group setting? Small group tutoring and individualized instruction will allow students to master tested skills in this focused, 12-hour intensive course. The course will be limited to a maximum of eight students, and mandatory homework is assigned that uses questions drawn from real tests. Classes will include instruction on test-taking logic and overall SAT strategy, content review for Math and Verbal skills, and practice using real SAT questions. Additional, one-on-one support with the expert instructor is available to students outside of class. Students will be able to communicate with the instructor via text message, phone, and email to discuss homework problems and other test-related worries. This ensures that every student gets concentrated, focused, individualized attention. Students will learn the best strategies to achieve high scores on each of the sections of the SAT. The course will also include an opportunity to learn about and practice the optional essay section of the SAT, with individualized instructor feedback. In addition, this course offers an opportunity for students to take a practice SAT in a classroom environment simulated to resemble the real test day. Students will learn how to apply lessons from class to the reality of test-taking. This mock-SAT will not only expose students to hundreds of additional practice problems, but will also provide experience in pacing and maintaining mental stamina. Following the practice test, students' understanding of the test will further be augmented through grading, scoring, and an additional period of question review and final instruction. Mock test will be held 2/29 from 10:00am-3:00pm.
