Basic Welding Skills - In Four Methods

ClassGraphic  Gain a basic understanding and proficiency in four different welding methods. This beginning level class will cover oxy-acetylene welding, flux-core wire feed/MIG welding, and traditional arc (stick) welding. Oxy-acetylene and plasma cutting will be demonstrated and used as our schedule allows. General metal shop safety will be stressed and students may work on small fabrication, metal art or repair projects during the last four weeks which will be an open lab/studio time. Materials fee: $50.

Please read:  A $50 materials fee for all welding supplies is payable to the instructor at the first class. Please wear shop appropriate clothing i.e. jeans, work shirt, closed toe shoes or boots as we will start welding the first night.
