ClassGraphic Explore how traditional designs from around the world use color, pattern and symbols to tell stories and illustrate the natural world. Specifically, we will examine the painted houses of the Ndebele people of South Africa and Zimbabwe, Huichol yarn painting of Mexico and traditional kimono designs from Japan. In each class we will create our own designs and artwork based on their examples using paint, yarn and markers, depending on the project.
